Day Trip to Cala Llonga Beach, Ibiza

My day trip to Cala Llonga beach was perfect. It was one of my favorite beaches on Ibiza! It’s beautiful, especially because it feels like a private beach.

Quiet, crystal clear water, white sandy beach, rocks to explore, and sun drenched white steps leading up to the apartments overlooking the cove. If I ever return, I would definitely stay here a few days.

Cala Llonga Beach

Cala Llonga is on the east side of the island. Because of this it’s best to visit in the morning/early afternoon. Likewise, the beaches on the west coast are best for their sunsets. Of course, any time is really great for either.

There is a small town and several restaurants, but it’s more about a place to relax and be mesmerized by the views.

How To Get To Cala Llonga Beach

Ibiza busses run regularly from Ibiza city center to Cala Llonga. You can also arrive by car as there is parking nearby.

As I was here outside tourist season, buses were not running to this beach. They were, however, running to a larger town north of here, Sant Eulària.  As a result, I had to walk over an hour to get here. Up and over a hill no less.

I had read about the beaches beauty and was not disappointed. It was worth it.

When I was walking back to Sant Eularia a very nice local with amazing blue eyes struck up a conversation with me.  After talking a bit, he offered me a ride back to the Sant Eulària bus station. This was not the first time in Ibiza that locals offered me a ride. The people living here are very nice.

Overall, a day trip to Cala Llonga makes for a perfect day. I do think, however, that this one would be even better to stay at for a few days.

As a side note, I was not very impressed with Sant Eularia Beach.
